Radio Beth Gazo is a nonprofit radio channel that can be found on Facebook, the home page www.radiobethgazo.com and through the app "Radio Beth Gazo". It is founded by servants of the Syriac Orthodox Church feeling the need of spreading the treasures within the Church to its followers and faithful assembly through the listening word and hymns. The name "Radio Beth Gazo" is derived to the book Beth Gazo, the key reference to Syriac Orthodox Church music, consisting of hymns and tunes.
Beth Gazo
"Beth Gazo" is Syriac and the English translation is "House of Treasures". The liturgical service, which is called Holy Qurbono in Syriac and means "Eucharist", is celebrated on Sundays and special occasions. The Holy Eucharist consists of Gospel Reading, Bible Readings, Prayers, and Songs. Apart from certain readings, all prayers are sung in the form of chants and melodies. Hundreds of melodies remain and these are preserved in Beth Gazo.
